The latest episode of Wheel of Fortune witnessed a rare and sentimental side of the host, Akshay Kumar. What started as a competitive round between contestants Niyat, Snehan, and Nisheta quickly turned into a heartwarming reunion when Akshay discovered a deep personal connection with one of the players.
After the puzzle round, contestant Snehan, who is an event manager by profession, surprised everyone by revealing that he attended the same school as Akshay Kumar. The connection went even deeper as Snehan mentioned they shared the same tuition teacher as well, stating “Sir, maine vahi school ke tuition teacher ke saath padhai kiya jisne aapko sikhaya hai…, Pandey sir.”
The revelation prompted Akshay to reminisce about his late teacher, Pandey Sir, and Akshay stated “Yeh jinke baare mein bol raha hain, voh mere bhi teacher reh chuke hain, unka naam Pandey sir tha. Pandey sir ki ek aadat thi unke hath mein hamesha ek stick hoti thi hume padate vakt, aur main kaafi badmash tha, aur voh maarne se pehle sochte nahi the. Lekin kuch bhi ho, Pandey sir se kaafi kuch sikha hain maine bhale voh abhi nahi rahe.” Akshay spoke of him with immense fondness and respect.
The emotional bond was put to the test later in the episode when Snehan fumbled badly while attempting to solve a puzzle. Akshay was clearly disappointed at Snehan, and he came up with a witty response for the host by saying “Sir, main padha toh aapke hi school se hoon". Proving that school ties run deep, Akshay immediately stepped in to protect his junior. He immediately turned towards the audience and said “Isko abhi koi bhi gaali nahi dega, kyunki yeh mere school ka hai.”
