Singer Parleen Gill recently celebrated his wedding anniversary with his wife Blondelle Gill on March 4, and the day turned into a very special and emotional moment for him after a long and tiring work trip.
Talking about the celebration, Parleen shared, “I was performing at a show in Kampala and returned home around 5 a.m. on March 3. After such a long journey I was very tired, but when I entered the house, I was completely surprised. Blondelle had beautifully decorated the house for our anniversary. After travelling for hours, walking into a home filled with warmth and decorations felt very refreshing and heartwarming.”
He added that the surprise did not end there. “She had also cooked my favourite home-cooked meal. I truly love her cooking, so that made the moment even more special. Instead of planning something big outside, we simply spent quiet time together at home, and honestly that felt perfect.”
For the couple, the date holds double joy because it is also Blondelle’s birthday. Parleen made sure he had a meaningful gift ready for her.
“Since it was her birthday too, I wanted to give her something she truly loves. Blondelle is a sound engineer, mix master engineer and programmer, so I upgraded her setup. I gifted her a new sound card and brand-new speakers. It felt nice to support something she is passionate about,” he said.
Blondelle also had a surprise for Parleen. “She gifted me a new phone and a watch,” he shared with a smile.
For Parleen, however, the real highlight of the day was not the gifts but the time they spent together. “Both of us have very busy schedules, so just being able to pause, sit together and celebrate our journey meant the most. This was our second wedding anniversary, and I truly feel blessed to have such a supportive partner. In the end, the time we spent together was the biggest and most meaningful gift.”
